Melissa has been a member of Flushing United Methodist Church for over 25 years. She graduated from Flushing High School and attended the University of Michigan, graduating with a BS in elementary education. She majored in fine arts and minored in social studies. She has been a teacher in Corunna for the past 16 years, teaching fine arts, third grade and is currently teaching fourth grade.
Melissa lives in Flushing with her husband, Travis, their two children, and dog, Tully Lu.
